Okay, yes, Christi Orgeron was a great, but I placed Danyele Gomez before her as the DP because Danyele hit a NCAA record for home runs in a season and is 4th or 5th in career home runs with 83.
Here are my top 10 softball players, of those I have watched. They are there regardless of position.

These were all phenomenal in what talent and skills they brought to the game. They were all CLUTCH players.
Christi Orgeron is probably the one player who has brought more awareness of our softball program to the world. (She played two years for the USA National team and may do it again this summer.) I feel in the area of being a CLUTCH player, she was not. The others in my list all came through when the team needed them. I have seen time and again when the team needed a hit from Christi and she did not come through. She was a great, but does not fit with these clutch players on my list.
Didn't Christi set a NCAA recors for grand slams? She definitely was able to get the runs home when they had ducks on the pond.....
I do know what you mean though, she did go through a slump for a while and left a few runners on base.
Look at it this way, the players in front of her were soooo good at getting on base that she had runners on almost everytime she came to bat. Maybe that is why it seemed that she left eunners on base a lot. You cant get rbi's everytime at bat.
I feel Christi was a great offensive player and just a so so player in the field. I think if you are going to be defined as one of the greatest you need to be able play the field also.
