On this play, why would you give McDorman a FC instead of a hit. I guess because Howard was forced out at third. If he was not forced and was thrown out at third would it have been a hit then? At first they gave McDorman a hit. Then about two innings later they changed it to FC....So I am saying that if he is force out than it is a FC, and if he was not forced and would have to make a tag on him at third than it would have been a hit.......Is this right????

McDorman, J. reached on a fielder's choice to right field (3-1); Pitts, G. advanced to second; Howard, M. out at third rf to 3b.

Error should have been on Compton. It was his ball all the way. Strentz (catcher) is the last player on the field you want fielding a fly ball and the pitcher is the 2nd to last. That is baseball 101.

Strentz and Robe contributed to Compton's miss...IMO. That was my point. If he is the last person that should be fielding that pop up...since that is baseball 101, why was he in Compton's face?

I bet he has a purple tattoo to commemorate his complete game last night.

Nice little shout out on the Easton blog from Sorenson. Wonder who sent him a note....

    - Yes, Lyle Landry, you’re right.
Got a twitter message from Mr. Landry, who informed me that Louisiana DH Seth Harrison deserved a shout across the rooftops with his two home runs and six RBI in a 9-2 white-washing of Troy. Also, starting pitcher Austin Robichaux went the distance in a five-hit, eight-K effort to improve to 4-2 against a Trojan squad that came in hitting .310 as a team.

---I was looking first at Strentz (hope the spelling is correct now) and he turned like it was in foul territory and moving to the fair area----that is when Robe kind of got involved and along comes the guy to make the play as in the playbook and>>>>> well this is when I lost it--How did Compton get hurt???? the ball or a collision????
