Astros righthander Alex White will undergo Tommy John surgery, the team announced Friday. White, 24, was limited to just one inning against the Chicago Cubs in an exhibition start last Friday at Minute Maid Park. He and the Astros spent the week considering their options. White began the season on the 60-day disabled list due to a right elbow strain.
