I could have gone all day without hearing that name.
Mrs. Express and I attended a game, cannot remember the year but after your games mentioned. We got pretty much stomped. Neither your games nor that game will have anything to do with this game. New coaches, players long removed from then.
Cajuns will IMO have every chance to win this game. The Hogs will be wild high, their crowd wild high. If we improve on defense we will be right there. It won't take much to take both the team and fans to a nightmare of the ULM game in their minds.
The Hog coach is really good, and will do really well at Arkansas, but this is his first game. I think he will bring the Big X approach instead of the Big XII. More defense and less mistakes give scoring opportunities. I like what we bring on offense, nobody knows what we will bring on defense yet. Special teams have been great, now they appear to be in good hands, but until you see them in the crucible it is an unknown.
All I know right now is Hud was not real happy with the defense in the first scrimmage.
First of all ULM won the game, they outplayed the Hogs. When I say they got lucky, i absolutely think they did. The Hogs were stunned they were going for a first down instead of a tying field goal. No doubt the play was not lucky in the sense that a sure tackle was missed, but any time you run sixteen yards in the red zone on a do or die play some luck was involved. At least I think it was around sixteen.
Also you are right, Wilson got hammered several times before suffering a concuss, and it was in the second, not the third or fourth quarter. So the Hoax were giving them hell, still the Hogs held a twenty-one point lead starting the fourth. It was a team effort, Browning heroics mean nothing if the Hogs can muster even one field goal.
Bottom line: the monrovians beat Arkansas last year, so the CAJUNS have to go up there and flat-out CRUSH their sorry @$$ES... PERIOD!!
