Thread: Cajun punting -- Aussie style

  1. Default Cajun punting -- Aussie style

In his double-duty as UL's special-teams coach, Ragin' Cajuns head coach Mark Hudspeth is willing to go only so far.

He evidently draws the line at showing his new punter — Australian import Daniel Cadona, who has never played in an actual competitive American football game — how to dress.

I agree. Should be interesting to see him punt. Hopefully we score often and he does not have to punt often.

He should be watching American football 24-7 when he's not practicing. We need him to be able to make good decisions when things don't go according to plan. Welcome to LOUISIANA Daniel you have some big shoes to fill mate. BB was a great one.

Punting it 55 yards everytime is one thing...can he punt it 35 yards and drop it inside the 5

Why can he only play two years?

    2 American years = 4 Australian years

I'm not worried about him making bad decisions after watching LSU's Aussie punter do this. It wasn't supposed to be a fake punt. He looked up, saw an opening, and took it to the house. That was the most heads-up play I've ever seen a punter make and I doubt someone who has kicked in the US how whole life would have done the same thing.

This guy seems like a good grab. Another reason to be excited about 2013.

That was really a BS call, the dude is a punter. How often do you think he gets to score a TD. If he were a skill position player I could understand, but if an OL, DL or K scores a TD they should be able to celebrate a bit.
