From the beginning of the recruiting process, Breaux Bridge standout hitter Paul LeVasseur hoped that he'd end up playing baseball for the UL Ragin' Cajuns.
When that offer didn't come, LeVasseur decided to settle for another Division I offer, signing early with the Nicholls State Colonels.
Also in the recruiting process was an offer from junior college LSU-Eunice.
Initially, he turned LSUE coach Jeff Willis down. Toward the end of his senior season, however, LeVasseur began to have second thoughts.
Now he's going to the LHSCA All-Star games Friday in Alexandria as an LSUE signee.
"My dream is to play at UL,'' LeVasseur said. "It always has been. This kind of keeps that dream alive.''
