LeVasseur Keeps UL in sights

From the beginning of the recruiting process, Breaux Bridge standout hitter Paul LeVasseur hoped that he'd end up playing baseball for the UL Ragin' Cajuns. When that offer didn't come, LeVasseur decided to settle for another Division I offer, signing early with the Nicholls State Colonels. Also in the recruiting process was an offer from junior college LSU-Eunice. Initially, he turned LSUE coach Jeff Willis down. Toward the end of his senior season, however, LeVasseur began to have second thoughts. Now he's going to the LHSCA All-Star games Friday in Alexandria as an LSUE signee. What a great story. I sure hope he ends up playing for UL. This is a great example of the excitement that Coach Robe has generated with the success of the program. It used to be that local kids wanted to play for LSU, and I'm sure that is still the case in a lot of instances, but it is great to read stories of kids dreaming of playing for UL
