MOBILE, Ala. - On the eve of the conference tournament, UL's baseball team accepted its trophy for winning the Sun Belt Conference's regular-season title Tuesday night.

But immediately after the pre-tournament banquet and the requisite photos, the trophy was stored under the Ragin' Cajun team bus.

No disrespect to the league intended. It's a nice trophy and provides tangible proof of quality performance during the season. But UL has more fish to fry.

"If you have to keep looking at that trophy," said Cajuns coach Tony Robichaux, "you're living in the past. We've got a lot left to accomplish."
