Melancon Takes Another Shot Put Title as Cajuns Begin LSU Relays

Myles Melancon posted a win in the shot put a second straight week and Scott Brewster and Anna Katherine Devitt claimed second place in distance races as the Ragin’ Cajuns men’s and women’s track and field team opened competition in the LSU Relays at Bernie Moore Track Stadium on Friday.

Myles's dad and I teamed up to coach Myles and my son in soccer when they were 5 years old. I could tell then soccer wouldn't be his thing. Guess he's been a bit more successful at the shot put.

Awesome! Was very involved with T&F when Coaches Lancon and Badon were here. Was president of the officials association and spent many weekends at the track helping with meets.
