BATON ROUGE - A proposal to build more student apartments on the UL campus is one step away from receiving final approval.

The State Bond Commission on Thursday granted preliminary approval to the proposal to construct a 162-bed complex. The developers of the project will come back to the commission at a future date for final approval of the project, which could cost up to $12.5 million.

Julie Dronet of the university's media relations office said it will be an addition the Legacy Park development.
