Where is Carson in school now, Baton Rouge?
EDIT: Answered my own question. Carson is at Miami Dade CC.

Bab just said Griffit is throwing to live batters today at practice. If he is healthy, our pitching staff is going to get a big boost.

This is great news. Another arm in the pen can't hurt, especially one that has the ability to be a Friday night starter. He could give us a nice boost during conference play or even become the midweek starter if fully recovered.

Take your time getting him back in, work him in slowly and watch out come tourny time.

I know all of you HUD lovers out there think hes the best motivator but you have never seen Robe give a pregame speech before. Guy gives you goosebumps just like HUD. He has never been the problem. IMO after Wade and Szefc left we lacked a hitting system. You mix that in with poor leadership and minimal talent you get the result of last year. The problem was Trahan had no hitting system and with all due respect his recruiting was fringe average to say the least. Now we do have exceptions with Strentz, Compton, and Trahan. But the guys misses were just flat out bad. Jordan Boruque, Daniel Nicholes, Dominique Francia, Thomas Simineaux, Derrick Howell, Snowdon ......guys were just not good. Our talent pool was seriously depleted. We finally have a guy in place with a system, proven in the field of recruiting, and is just as hard on the position players as Robe is on the pitchers. You mix all that together you get a result your seeing now. I think if we keep Compton and Strenz it makes the pie sweeter but with the arms coming in next year, your talking about a super regional/Omaha run. IMO it will be the closest talent to the 2007 team (should have went to Omaha). Im not saying this years team dosent have that capability. I think were short 2 serious arms. Mix the line-up with the arms coming in and it could get scary. Scary good that is.

Would you mind reading the two words on the right side of Tony's name? Don't get me wrong. I am not still doubting him. He has this team on the right track, but he hired Sczef and Trahan and is ultimately responsible for the joke of a team that was on the field. My comment was strictly to say that all of the fire Robe talk was justifiable.

All else aside, we are 17-3 and poised for another weekend sweep. Geaux Cajuns!

I know they offered him as a sophomore in high school, and he committed in November of 2010. I know Coach Trahan started in 2009. I don't know if they are any relation.

No relation I believe, but Coach Trahan and Brooks Badeaux were the guys that pushed to offer Blake as a sophomore

Blake was being looked at seriously as a recruit from a very young age. His reputation grew after he committed. An LSU dad, who watched him all through high school, told me he "could have played anywhere". Of course, most of our players can play anywhere. Having more players that can play anywhere is the difference maker.

If Blake was a 6ft or 6'1 kid, he would of chosen where he wanted to go. He plays much bigger than his actual size and will continue to get better and better each time out. He does alot of things with ease. I'm just glad we got him.

Glad we got him +1. If he was much taller he might be playing ball for a living right now, instead of a couple of years from June.

Biggest risk on Carson not coming will be from the draft. Miami Dade was #3 in polls last I looked and he is their #1 starter,, and I hear he is getting alot of interest from MLB teams. I would think he has gotten his head straight or he wouldnt be still playing.
Greg Milhorn is doing well also- both bring fastballs in the 90's and good breaking balls. Milhorn is likely to get drafted again also.
