LOUISIANA La - The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced their 2007 South All-Region First and Second Teams and Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns softball player Holly Tankersley was named to the first team.

This is the second NFCA All-South Region honor for Tankersley, as she garnered the award in her freshman year in 2004.

The junior designated player leads the team in virtually every offensive category.

Tankersley, a USA Softball Top 25 Finalist for Player of the Year, leads the team in batting average (.405), home runs (18), RBI (61), slugging percentage (.746) and on-base percentage (.517).

Tankersley is currently third all-time in UL history with 48 career home runs, 111 walks and 24 hit-by-pitches.

She has also compiled a 12-5 record in the pitching circle for the Cajuns in 2007.
