LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns softball game at Mississippi State, which was scheduled for Wednesday night (March 20), has been canceled.

With the only off weekend of the season ahead for the Cajuns, Louisiana head coach Michael requested the cancellation in order to take care of a personal matter during the 10-day break between games. Mississippi State head coach Vann Stuedeman agreed to the request.

The coaches of the two teams will work together to reschedule the game during the 2014 season.

Wow this season is getting weird as we go. Hope coach is ok

At the risk of incurring the wrath of the RP faithful, this is not the way to run a major college program.. If coach has a problem to deal with, that does not change the schedule. The team makes the trip and the asst's run the team during his absence. This is not T-ball people and this is NOT michael's team, its the university's team. I am afraid we have turned this program over with way to much power to one man and while I love everything they (the Lotief's) have done... its not good.

He obviously is still having personal issues. I just don't think he is totally into it. Something is going on. It has showed on the field this season. I am predicting he resigns again after the season.
