EUNICE - Like any high school athlete that doesn't get recruited coming out of high school, Renotta Edwards was disappointed.
But, two years later, the former Ville Platte basketball star believes it was the best thing that could have happened to her.

After a stellar two-year career at Louisiana State University at Eunice, Edwards is now getting what she felt she deserved all along - a shot on the Division I-A level.

The 5-9 shooting guard, who ended this past season as the second high scorer in the NJCA Division II, has signed a national letter of intent with the Northwestern State Demons.
