Going against ULM ace Cale Wine, the UL baseball team needed a few things to go in its favor Saturday.

One would be comparable, if not better, pitching. Another other would be some breaks, if not flat-out Warhawk mistakes. A couple big hits wouldn't hurt, either.

I didn't say we were...but it doesn't mean we will make a World Series run either. 2007 we had a damn good baseball team that almost made it to a super. To compare a relatively young team to a World Series team is premature, especially when we haven't played a road conference series yet. We have 2 back to back coming up. The only teams we have played with winning records are utsa,Nichols and lsu. I'm not booking my flight to Omaha just yet.

I can agree with that, but until we lose two out of three to a team we should walk all over, or lose a midweek game to an instate schlub there is no need for any debbie downer. We are 17-3!!! We finished dead last in the belt last year. Let's have some fun with it.

Trust me dude, I'm having a blast with it. We are a good baseball team. Wasn't being a downer, it's really hard to get to the World Series. I think people forget how special that team was and loaded with seniors.
