Future Lady Cajun teammates unite/face off

The UL Ragin' Cajun softball program's present may not be as rosy as usual with an 0-2 showing in the Sun Belt Conference Softball Tournament. The future, though, looks awfully bright if you look at the roster for today's 4 p.m. LHSCA All-Star Softball Doubleheader at the LSU softball complex in Baton Rouge. Members from state championship teams in Classes 5A, 4A, 3A and 2A all signed with UL and will be in action on the same field today. That group includes East outfielder Katie Smith from 5A Ruston, West outfielder Katey Stanford from 4A St. Thomas More, West pitcher Donna Bourgeois of 3A Teurlings Catholic and East pitcher Ashley Brignac of 2A John Curtis will be squaring off today.
