Default Good Seafood Restaurants in Lafayette?

Got a couple of friends coming visit from Texas tomorrow, and they have a craving for some seafood..what would you guys recommend around Lafayette? I've heard Blue Dog Cafe' has a good seafood menu, and Prejeans is delicious but a bit out of my price range..thanks for all the help!

Anything but Prejean's. Blue Dog is pretty good in my opinion, Randols and Prejean's are a little too touristy for me.

Poor Boy's Riverside Inn is very good. We also enjoy Don's Seafood Hut on Johnston Street. Don's also now hlas an oyster charbroiled grill. Kinda fun to watch them cook the oysters while waiting.

What kind of seafood? Depending on what you want there are quite a few places around to fit the bill. Just don't go to Mr. Keez II or whatever the name of that outhouse is. The outhouse formerly known as Ryan's.

My favorites at Don's Seafood Hut: Boiled shrimp (shrimp comes with boiled corn on the cob, early potatoes, onions, green/red peppers... all well seasoned), shrimp remoulade salad, seafood salad with pepper jelly salad dressing, oysters on the half shell, and their seafood gumbo. I also recommend Riverside Inn.

Its a little bit to drive, but Landry's by Henderson off I-10, excellent, a lil pricey but worth every dime.

Also, I agree with Dupuy's and Shucks.

If you want boiled seafood, the Boiling Point towards New Iberia & Louisiana Crawfish Time off Verot. There is a really good restaurant in Rayne - Catfish Willies.
