Don't feel bad, there was no way anybody could get used to that. It was hard to watch sometimes, preferably after we came out of a timeout, ran out onto the field, got set in our formation and then looked to the sideline for the play call......of course, I could also be a half-wit.
I'm not sure why so many people think this....this kid threw for 2400 yards in just his senior season of high school. He starts three games under duress his freshman season and goes 2-2 (could have easily been 3-1) with ONE bad game......and sudenly he can't throw.....
His passing looked like.....a freshman....big surprise.
This kid is the real deal, a born leader and the best running quarterback at UL since Brian Mitchell. He can throw as well as the majority of the qb's who have played at UL.
QB will not be a problem this year.
It was going to come out sooner or later... MD can run AND pass. I think the media and some opposing DCs probably swallowed the bait the most. I have to hand it to a lot of folks on this forum. They played it up to the hilt with a lot of chicken little stuff about our passing game.
The cool thing is... that even with this thread opposing DCs will still plan for nothing but the run. This forum will also have a lot of people that will still question MD's passing and add to the misinformation. They are not doing it because they are ignorant. They are sticking with our ploy. We so clever.
And they said Vince Young couldn't at Texas. All he can do is run. Well, he could run and throw effectively enough to win a National Championship. Maybe Michael will be just good enough to win the conference and a bowl game.
That's right Mike, stay off the ATV's, and just DRIVE the CAJUN TRAIN!!!!! WOO WOO!!!!!WOO WOO!!!!!!
Mike many Cajun Fans KNOW you can, and I am one of them. You threw well in HS and your bigger, smarter, stronger, and faster now so get your team where you deserve to be in a Bowl at the end of the season, one play at a time one game at a time!!!

I remember Desormeaux's first game against UCF. He had an unbelievable amount of dropped passes by his receivers that were thrown right in their hands.
Some on this board were saying that maybe his left handed delivery and its corresponding spin was throwing the receivers off. Whatever it was, he has had to time to develop chemistry with his receivers and I expect him to be very effective. Hopefully the opposing defenses won't catch on and will think he is just a runner.
