They need fans and UL does not need another road game, but I have a new venture, CXDW InflatableFans.com. They come in a baby blue, red & white offering. Others come in Maroon and Gold offering all include at no extra charge a cheer CD with a Northeast La accent that is PA friendly.

The only OOC games that we're hearing about thus far are the games with Kansas and whoever is coming to Shreveport (either Clemson or A&M). There's been talk of working out one for one's with one sunbelt team and one CUSA team. That would put us with six home games per year with a seventh in years when we travel to Hawaii. I certainly think this would be the best type of scheduling for the fans. BUT, our administration will have to really market and commit themselves to relying on home games rather than body-bag games.

Don't start crap that doesn't exist. nobody on the Tech board ever suggested a 2 for 1 with UL. Now ULM is a complete nother story.

I think that if Minnesota, a BCS school, would do a 2 for 1 with us back four or five years ago, then I don't see why schools like Tech and Houston and USM would think we'd want to do one with them. If Minnesota would do it, then I am sure that there are several other (lower) BCS schools that would also do it.

All part of the ego with some of their fans. Nelson S. and Oakes were good friends and that type of arrangement never came up. They were looking for opportunities to get the rivalry going again based on mutual respect.
Unfortunately LTU, due to the increased overhead of the WAC, had to do more payday games. Naturally that required some games at their place that will not be returned. Hello Mac Need U, and others of that ilk.
