Cajuns vs. North Texas - First round

North Texas giving UL all they can handle is the first round of the Conference Tournament. Not to mention, two Cajun errors in the game, both cost runs.

Cajuns down 6-3 coming into bottom of the 7th.

Load up bases with two walks and a Tankersley double. Chatman singles to score two. Score 6-5.

Runners at the corners, still no outs.

And Verde flies out for the first out.

Bertucci gets thrown out at home on a fielders choice.

And Tara Hamilton strikes out swinging.

Cajuns lose 6-5. Absolutely terrible.

this is not good. We have the most up and down volatile team this year that I've ever seen. I just don't understand. I hope they get their act together and win this thing, cuz I don't know how much of a chance at a regional that we have if we don't win our tournament.

Ironically, I read in some article that we're likely the only team going to a regional regardless of what happens. As true as I hope that is, I don't think it's gonna happen

On the contrary, I think the strategy in sitting out the SBC tourney was a stoke of genius. This way, the girls can rest up for that at large bid.

If they win the conference tourney, does that boost them as far as seeding? What's the highest seeding we can get (provided we win the conf. tourney)? What's the lowest seeding (should we go 0-2 in sbc tourney)?
