I still think Shepherd has a chance, but EP was much better last year.

Next up is Middle, and I do not remember the last time Marlin's Cajuns even looked good against them, much less competitive.

No doubt EP is a stud we all have, well almost all, been saying that for a couple of seasons now. He took off late in the season while still seventeen, and should have been playing for a high school championship. Marlin is very lucky this young mans fate was locked up before he went to the first grade. Smart, emotionally mature, and talented don't get together at UL very often.
Last time I recall us being competitive against UNT was a home game in Marlin's first year. We did not win but I believe the game went to OT. In just about every other game in recent years, they have had their way with us. Of course, this year they have been in control of just about all the games they have played. If they win the tournament, they may get a seed which will give them a chance to pull a first round upset. We need to get in that position in the near future. Maybe the path to having that type of team begins next season.
