Eighth-seeded Louisiana used an 11-2 run to start the second half to open up a double-figure lead and coast to a 74-55 victory over No. 9 North Texas on Friday night in an opening round game of the 2013 Sun Belt Conference championship.

Is someone still questioning EP's ability?

I am joyously dumbfounded, is that the same as questioning?

Four players in double figures, shot 43% from the field & 82% from the line (we missed 2 free throws). AMT really stepped up last night.
    Geaux Cajuns!

If we play like this from here on out, we'll make the NCAA.

Not you. But someone came on here a while back claiming that EP was not guard material...probably should be at forward...and, even then, wasn't going to amount to much.

I guess Elfrid is proving otherwise.

He also said that Payton was left handed and Marlin should be able to see that he is left handed.

Before last night's game Payton was recognized as 1st team all Sun Belt and also (I believe it is called this) Commissioner's Award for GPA above a 3.0. Long was recognized for 2nd team all Sun Belt and Freshman of the year. Great to see them honored.
    Geaux Cajuns!

Unfortunately the Marlin lead Cajuns will actually have to play somebody other than N Texas. I hear Marlin wants a new contract that will have him playing N Texas twice a season anywheres.

Next up is Middle, and I do not remember the last time Marlin's Cajuns even looked good against them, much less competitive.

No doubt EP is a stud we all have, well almost all, been saying that for a couple of seasons now. He took off late in the season while still seventeen, and should have been playing for a high school championship. Marlin is very lucky this young mans fate was locked up before he went to the first grade. Smart, emotionally mature, and talented don't get together at UL very often.

I think that Shepherd is almost as good as EP was last year---I think we have a VERY capable back up or other guard for the next 3 years!!! he can probably shoot better than EP and although not as good at the other parts of the game is not too bad --6'3" and looks very fast!!! Oh and playing with EP makes him better as I have seen him look EPish on a few drives!!!
