_ Anybody noticing a parallel here...

This guy starts out as a stand out quarterback at a local high school. He continues on to play for a Cajun football program that, when he arrives, is not exactly at its peak. He gets thrust into the starting role as a freshman, despite other more experienced quarterbacks on the roster. Over the course of his first three years, he helps the team improve enough to have its first winning season in a while, as well as share in its first conference championship in a while.

His senior season is actually a bit of a disappointment, as the team doesn't finish with a winning record. However, they do pull off one of the biggest wins in school history. Over the course of his four years, he rewrites the Cajun record books. As the NFL draft comes around, several teams show interest, but he is not drafted. However, he is quickly signed to a free agent contract and given a chance to compete for a job.

Anybody know this guy? Sounds like Jerry Babb...but its Jake Delhomme. And we all know what happened to him. _

I wonder if Jerry knows he's gonna have to get LaHayeSik, and start buying racing horses.

The Green Bay Packers will take a second look at free agent quarterback Jerry Baab. They recently signed Baab and receiver Johnny Quinn to free agent futures’ contracts. Baab, 23, threw for 6,200-plus yards in four years at Louisiana-Lafayette, but he went undrafted a year ago. Packers cut QBs Babb, Bell

Green Bay -- After selecting two quarterbacks in the draft and considering others as undrafted free agents, the Packers let quarterbacks Jerry Babb and Dalton Bell go Monday.

this is prolly to accomodate Matt Flynn's excessively huge cromagnon forehead. So Babb had to be cut so that two helmets can make one for Flynn's frontal lobe. Oh well, Jerry has an engineering degree to fall back on. What was Flynn's major again?
