But dude, we won. Seriously, the umpiring blew some major chunks. Im not even gonna bring up the fact that our umpiring crew had a dude named "As$man" on it.Originally Posted by raoul
Were the Monrovians hysterical when they saw that 7 run lead melt away before their very eyes???

Let's just say it was great to see them so ____ed off we had just come back to take the lead. A sight these eyes will never forget. HAHAOriginally Posted by Zeebart21

A few thoughts from this weekend
1. Monroe Stinks.. literally.... they said it is a paper mill thing that happens every so often but why in the world would anyone want to live there
2. Having said that the folks we met were extremely gracious... Sure they were pulling for their team but we had a wonderful time.. Sunday we set up next to the bleachers on the third base side where they were barbequeing and drinking adult beverages and all had a great time... Amazing when you don't feel you are superior to another human being because you choose to buy a purple and gold shirt at Wal Mart how enjoyable college atheltics can be...
3. This had to be the absolute worse umpiring crew I have ever seen....We got into Monroe too late Friday evening to see the first game so cant comment.. Saturday's plate ump had absolutely no clue what a consistent strike zone is about... We were sitting directly behind the plate on Saturday night and Lucroy was reaching for a ball and he called it a strike and then a ball dead center was a ball... It happened both ways and made the game almost unplayable.. Then yesterday.... From our vantage the play at the plate was not even close... Our guy.. forget his name... had completed his slide and was bouncing up before the tag was applied... The ONLY way it could have been correct was if he missed the plate... Then in the next inning a Munroe player slides into third.. right in front of us... Seems like his hand got to the bag ahead of our tag.... OUT.... This was closer than the play at the plate but again seemed the wrong call.... The Munrovians went nuts... Didnt blame them
4. The Munroe facilities and game atmosphere make you jus love the Tigue all the more..... Everyone should take a road trip from time to time to truely appreciate what we have.... So Miss is nice... So Al also... but nothing compares to the Tigue that I have seen...
Great weekend....Dog Pile at home guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This makes more sense. After the game, coach mentioned that it was nice to see us come together like that and for a while "it seemed that we were in a tug-of-war and "Some Guys" were pulling on the opposite end" and he thought he had corrected that. After hearing what you said, I'd have to believe Santiago and Van Der Keere were disgruntled with lowered playing time and ruining chemistry. I hope that changes and they come back to the team, but if dismissing them is what needs to happen to save the chemistry for the rest of the team, its just what needs to happen.Originally Posted by Rebel02

Great wins this weekend by the Cajuns. You know what is the most interesting. ULM was so proud of there attendance roughly 1800 per game this weekend. They are still averaging under 700 people per game at home while we are around 2300 per game at home and our softball team almost averages the same amount at home as there baseball team does.Originally Posted by GoneGolfin
You know, I was not at the game, but considering that ULM averages that few of people and we average so much more. Can someone who was at the games let me know what the split of attendance was. 50/50 Cajuns and WarHoax, less or more Cajuns????
Their Grand Stand area extends rom First Base to Third Base. In that section it was easily 50-50...If they had 2,000 people I would say 1,500 were in that area which would then have been 750-750.... Then they have areas beyond the bases that are for tailgating and barbequing...Plus an area in left field for students to back up their pick-em-up trucks.... guess there was another 500 in those areas...Originally Posted by CajunDave
In speaking with the folks in the B'queing area on Sunday, they said these were far and away their largest crowds of the year..
We have a way of bringing that out of our in state "friends".Originally Posted by IHateLaState

for a total of 5738, and an average of 1913 per game. That is more then 1300 people larger then there average 699. And if you take out the 3 games this weekend, there average is only approximately 550 people per game.
Geaux Cajuns!!!!!
