They need to install it in right center field so as not to have the sun reflecting on it. Are is there a rule that it has to be in Left center? But if they want to put it where the old board is then I see why they can't start.....well that's the question. Anyone?
The new score board will utilize the same mounting poles currently in use for the existing scoreboard.

Are they going to move the poles?

I think one of the reasons on waiting to install the scoreboard is so that the company that is installing it can train the staff on working the scoreboard. They would have the whole tournament to train vs a 3 game series. The new scoreboard has many new features.

In other words, we have to pass it (train them) before we know what's in it (install it)........That was stupid then, and it's stupid now.

It is my understanding that the new scoreboard will utilize the same poles currently in use for the existing scoreboard.

    It's not stupid at all.

FIRST. It is absolutely GREAT that a company would step up, without hesitation, and donate ALL the money for this new scoreboard.

SECOND. They are installing it in the same footprint columns that hold the existing scoreboard; that will speed up the installation.

THIRD. Daktronics staff members will run the scoreboard during the SunBelt conference tournament training OUR staff during the proces because WE don't know how to run it. That is both cheaper and smarter.

Let's quit complaining about things and start improving things.

The new scoreboard is an improvement; a great improvement.

It's simple. We are in desperate need of something, but it's not publically known, so the funds aren't being raised because the fans seem to think everything's taken care of. Why not ASK FOR MONEY....???? Instead of going behind closed doors (which is still a very reliable option), how about put together donation drives, something! We could have been raising just "Scoreboard" money for quite some time, then cap it all off with a big donation like we had this week.

I don't think we do things the right way for the most part. FWIW, I know a lot of people that would have given as much as possible for a scoreboard fund, but it's hard to direct people on how much to give, where to give, whom to give to, when no one's asking.....

"I think one of the reasons on waiting to install the scoreboard is so that the company that is installing it can train the staff on working the scoreboard".

This is why my statement of "You have to pass it (teach them) before you know what's in it (intall it)"...........Not complaining here, just giving opinion like the rest on here
