Louisiana is still receiving votes in the NCBWA poll and receiving 3 votes in the Coaches' Poll (37th). A sweep at USM this weekend just might get us in the top 30 or 25.

I'm not Bryan, and I don't have much insight, but they are 6-5 after opening the season with a 3-game sweep over Missouri. That includes losing a series at Troy this past weekend, and a loss to ULM. Looks like they're pretty good at home, but not so much on the road. They are 5-1 at home, including the aforementioned sweep over Mizzou.

p.s. I checked Missouri's record, and they are 0-6 on the season, so I'm not sure if the wins over Missouri mean all that much.

They're being referred to as a very good team...but barely have a winning record...and swept a crappy (at least on paper) Mizzou team. It appears to me that they are not as good as some are giving them credit for. Hell...I thought I was going to find out today that they were 15 and 0 or something.

They are going to be talented, they always are. But it looks like they are not as strong as they have been in the past, but all in all sweeping on the road vs them will be tough. I think getting out of the "BURG" with a series win is what we need to be shooting for.

I seem to remember them being ranked early in the season (possibly after the Missouri sweep.) I also thought I'd find that they had a gaudy record as well.
