I think this team will have a good year, but I don't think they are the #13 team in the country (yet). Not having Myers is really going to hurt, and no one has stepped up yet to claim that #2 spot behind Wallace. Conference is going to be tougher than it looks but I think we'll come out on top.

That's true. It's tough to beat a 4 loss season. However, they are still a top 25 team. They will find their rhythm in due time.

That team played us and others tough last weekend taking Michigan into the 10th on a game they really should have won. We are the third top 25 team they've beaten this year. I actually think Illinois State is better than Illinois.

The main problem with us having two wins in five games is the team HAD TO GO BY BUS 14 HOUR EACH WAY LAST WEEKEND TO ORLANDO, GO TO SCHOOL FOR A FEW DAYS, AND THEN RIDE A BUS FOR 14 HOURS TO ORLANDO FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. This is REDICULOUS for a major university to do this to its athletes from a competitive standpoint and an academic standpoint. The team members and coaches have to be physically and mentally drained. Now this week they have to take a bus for a mid-week doubleheader at atop ten ranked Texas! Surely, RCAF funds could be used to fly the team to Florida for at least one of these weekends. We desire to have nationally ranked Cajun teams and when we do, we don't support them financially. I realize Football brings in the revenue to support the athletic team, but other sports need more than crumbs financially.

I call that the "Road to Exhaustion" Clearwater trip, 1600+/- miles and 23 hour bus ride. Kissimmee trip, 1500+/- miles and 22 hour bus ride. Now you have the Austin Texas trip for the Texas game. 750+/- miles and 12 hour bus ride. The trip to Flordia was like taking a trip from the east coast to the west coast plus 600 miles. Throw in the Southern game when they got back from Clearwater, Fl. I'm tired just thing about it.........
