Perhaps the test score came in today or yesterday. My son took the test on April 14. He looked up his score yesterday online. You can do so at a cost of $4. Perhaps Travis did the same.

??? Where is Robert getting room to put these new players? Are players leaving of their own volition or is he releasing some because these new players are better? We have been told that he was only going to sign a post player during this signing period, he's now added two more for which he's not supposed to have room. It can't be that anyone will not be eligible because we were told that everyone is making their grades. It's going to be interesting to find out who's leaving to make room for these newcomers, or how he's going to work this out if no one is leaving.

Bureau is the only player that got added...Brandon Dison is from the group that sat out last year. Gradnago ws added in the spring signing and I am guessing that Bureau filled the last spot.

Dison I knew about, Gradnigo as well. My concern is not just the number of scholarships, because that can be taken care of, but the total number of players on the roster. I am also concerned about there being room, and a scholarship, for a post player that everyone, including the coaching staff, keeps saying that is going to be signed. I was concerned about Terrance Henry being added until I saw that he is a 2008 high school graduate.

Let's see if we can do the math here and determine who will be on the roster for next season and who will be on scholarship. We had 14 players on the roster. 5 graduated, leaving 9. We had three non-qualifiers and one transfer, that makes 13. We signed Chris Gradnigo in the fall signing period and now Travis Bureau in the spring signing period, making 15. We are being told that they will sign a post player which will make 16. Here's the list of players, perhaps someone can tell me (Jay would be nice, Robert would be better) what each person's status is for next season.

Seniors-Maurice Barksdale, David Dees, Abray Milson
    Juniors-Derek Gray
Sophomores-Stephen Dees, Tyren Johnson, Willie Lago, Elijah Milsap, Courtney Wallace, LaRyan Gary, Brandon Dison, Corey Bloom (Jr?), Randall Daigle
    Freshmen-Chris Gradnigo, Travis Bureau

You left off Damon Forest -- so now we are looking at 17 spots on 11 scholarships (13 minus 1 for APR and 1 for Orien Greene - however, the university is petitioning the NCAA to get the APR loss back due to great improvement in the last two years)

    Travis Bureau = TOPS
    Stephen Dees = Walk On
It's possible that Abray Milson and/or Derek Gray are paying their own way.
It's also possible that Courtney Wallace and/or Tyren Johnson and/or Willie Lago might be on TOPS.

Therefore, it is plausible that only 10 full scholarships have been utilitzed to date.

Stephen Dees I want to say is a walk-on (no scholarship) but like you I don't know how many we have but someone on here probably has that answer...Guru, Cajunmike?

Wasn't it discussed that we only used 11 scholarships last year, and we did this knowing that our proposal for penalty included losing two scholarship "years". That would mean the only scholarship loss would be the one for this year due to APR.

He will graduate, but the last word was that he wanted to come back.

Their has only been one new player added this spring, not two. If this one is not on scholarship, it is not an issue. Information I have is that he will be on TOPS, not an athletic scholarship. When I add things up, only one has to leave if a scholarship post player comes on board. I think you can have as many walkons as you want. You just can't dress more than 15 for official practice or games.

You list 15 folks there. However you left out Damon Forrest who is another guys who sat out. Don't worry about the total no. as I think you can have more than 15 on the roster. The rule is you can dress only 15 for practice/games. Injuries always occur. If that happens, extras still allow you to have 15 to run practice. You can only have 13 on scholarship and the year after we may likely only have 11 due to the NCAA penalty. If we bring in a post, it is possible we will have as much as 17 players. Question then becomes which ones are walkons. I would guess Dees, Bureau, Gray, and Barksdale are candidates for that role.
