    Here is a Top 25 raning of softball by College Sports Madness. Notice that LOUISIANA comes in at #13.

    1 Oklahoma Now 15-0 and 7-0 vs. ranked teams with wins over AZ, Ga and FL St. OU has outscored its opponents 47-0. 1
    2 Alabama Six wins this week, improving to 16-0 including four shutouts. 6 more home games coming up this week. 2
    3 Arizona State Took 4 from Portland St. at home. 1 in extra innings, 2 runrules and a walk off win. NC and Baylor next weekend. 3
    4 Florida 4-1 at Cathedral City losing a 12 inning affair to Missouri, the Gators first defeat in 2013. Improved to 16-1. 5
    5 Texas Went 6-1 this week. Tulsa ended the Longhorns perfect season Sat. Texas came back to get them 1-0 on Sun. 6
    6 Tennessee 3-2 in Palm Springs. First losses of the season, dropping to Northwestern and UCLA. Won the other 3 by shutout. 4
    7 California Collected four wins at the Mary Nutter Classic, three shutouts. Improved to 11-2. 7
    8 Oregon Won five games at the Mary Nutter Classic. Three one run victories. LSU and Michigan next week in Orlando, FL. 9
    9 Texas A&M Picked up seven wins, four by shutout including two no-hitters by Mel Dumezich. Improved to 17-0. 10
    10 Missouri Went 3-0 in Cathedral City, beating Florida in extra innings. Then split two games at Cal St. Fullerton. 11
    11 LSU 4-1 in Palm Springs. Beat Arizona and lost to UCLA. 14-2 overall. Citrus Classic in Kissimmee next weekend. 8
    12 UCLA Impressive weekend in Palm Springs. Five more wins improving to 13-1. Beat Tennessee, OK St. and LSU. 16
    13 Louisiana 4-1 at NFCA Lead Off Classic in Clearwater FL. Lost to Michigan. Beat USF and McNeese State. Improved to 12-2. 12
    14 Kentucky Won three games over mid-majors including an 11 inning tilt vs. USC Upstate. Improved to 11-3. 14
    15 Stanford Beat Georgia, UVA, FL St. and Syracuse at the Mary Nutter Classic. Lost to OK St. Ran their record to 14-3. 15
    16 Michigan Improved to 10-3 with 4 wins at NFCA Lead Off Classic including one over Louisiana. Lost to Depaul on Sunday. 19
    17 Washington Four wins in Palm Springs including victories over Florida St. and Georgia. Improved to 10-5. 21
    18 Louisville Had no troubling getting four wins at home, improving to 12-2 overall. 22
    19 Tulsa A good weekend in Austin, handing the Longhorns their first loss. 4-1 this weekend. 3 wins over top 25 teams. 23
    20 Baylor Won the Texas Shootout in San Marcos going 5-0, pitching two shutouts. NC and AZ St. next week in Tempe. 24
    21 Hawai'i Did not play. Home for the next three weeks. 25
    22 Florida State Fell to 9-6 after being shutout by UW, OU and Nebraska. 1-4 overall in Palm Springs. 20
    23 Arizona Shutout by OU, Ohio St. and LSU. Have yet to beat a top 25 team. 2-3 over the weekend. 10-5 overall. 17
    24 Georgia A rough weekend for the Bulldogs in Cathedral City, going 1-4 losing badly to OU, Stanford and UW. Shutout 3 times. 13
    25 Nebraska Went 2-3 in Palm Springs with losses to OU, Cal and Oregon. Beat Maryland and Florida St. Improved to 11-4.

    That loss to Michigan hurt a lot more than the wins helped.

    Better to "slip up" against Michigan than any of the other games, however. That's my glass half full approach, though I think the Cajuns probably should have gone through the weekend undefeated.

    we drop a spot but michigan gains a spot lol. the bias towards a bcs conference is hilarious.

    I don't see the problem. Cajuns lost to a lower ranked team, Michigan beat a higher ranked team. The reason we didn't drop farther is because we were declared the tournament champion. Michigan didn't go up higher because they lost to a non-ranked team. Trust that if we beat the Aggies and the Longhorns (I didn't know Longhorns could be females, shouldn't they be cows?), we'll be in the top 10 next week.

    If you want ridiculous, South Florida is still receiving votes for the top 25, despite a 6-8 record and only 2 of their 8 losses are to ranked teams.

    Anyone else doubt that conference affiliation matters?
