Honestly, I think he will focus on Academics. That is what we are here for, after all...but, I think he will be responsive to athletics and might not be perceived as an obstructionist as was Dr. A. (although I think that was a misperception in some respects). I don't think he will oppose dedicated donations to athletics, I don't think he would oppose an athletic fund, I think he would listen to the community and allow athletics to thrive. We are in a different place than we were when Dr. A set policy. In many ways, we have "arrived" as a comprehensive university and we are now able to broaden our focus. I, for one, think this University is poised for something really great. I just want to be around when it happens, and it could happen in athletics AS WELL as in academics
