    UL Softball Free Softball Game!!!

This has got to be STRANGE. Found of the UL Sports web page:.

LAFAYETTE – Fans have the opportunity to watch Ragin' Cajuns softball free of charge this Tuesday, Feb. 26 against Southern University at Lamson Park.

The contest begins at 7:00 p.m. and the free admission serves as a thank you to UL softball fans for all of their support over the years.

The game will be open seating based on a first come first serve basis, with exception of the suites. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m.

No outside food, beverages, artificial noise makers or pets allowed in the park.

That's what happens when you go head to head against LSU UL baseball.

I would be a little ticked if I was a season ticket holder and then was subject to a first come first serve basis.

The Southern game wasn't included in the season ticket package this year so it is a bonus game for everybody.

We did this with a game last year and it was well received from the community.

There wasn't a mad rush at the gate to get in so as long as people get there a little early, getting a good seat shouldn't be a problem.

I paid dear money for my two box seat tickets behind home plate........To give it to a bum off the street can be a problem. So LuLu, where did you hear this??????

That's good to hear then. My last post was obviously without any knowledge of the situation, thanks for the clarification.

Rob announced it at the last home game.

No problem for me. They can have my 4 seats in 207, I won't be able to make it. Just don't break my seats on row 9.

This could be a good "overflow" for all of the people that will not be able to get into the UL/LSU baseball game. I know a lot of people that will be going to the game looking for tickets and may not find any. It would be nice to walk over to the girls game, get in for free, and listen to Jay on the radio.

What the hell---the baseball game--the baseball game on TV---Why not the free Softball game???? perfect timing for the non baseballers to go see the almost top ten ranked team in America------Think there will be a good number of little future RC softball want to bes in the crowd that could care less about a nine inning scheduled baseball game with 2 college teams about an hour apart! Did I just type this???? lol---However from the reaction here ---the word needs to be gotten out!!!
