    I listened to him while out running errands today and thought he did a fine job. He knew the players, he made some comparisons to past players, which means he has done his homework. You don't get that very often in college softball. There were a few spots that he paused to let you hear the crowd noise. No complaints from this Cajun fan.

    Its one of those things, you either like it or you dont. I cant listen to Jay because of the dead air. LSU's Jim Hawthorne is absolutely amazing.

    You're on crack!

    Jim is absolutely horrible. Esp at baseball. Just plain terrible. You often wonder if he is watching the same game. If you are not at the game listening you don't realize just how bad he is.

    At some point sheer longevity makes you legendary.

    I remember that one time Devery Henderson caught a Hail Mary or something in Kentucky and Hawthorne called him Mike Hunt. "And it's caught in the end zone by Mike Hunt". Yea that was Hawthorne's best.
