KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Closer Jose Veras and reliever Rhiner Cruz were among five Astros named Thursday to the final World Baseball Classic roster. Veras (Dominican Republic) and Cruz (Spain) were joined by reliever Xavier Cedeno (Puerto Rico), outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin (Chinese Taipei) and minor-league reliever Murilo Gouvea (Brazil). The WBC runs March 2-19 in countries including the United States, Japan and Puerto Rico. Lin left the Astros on Wednesday for the WBC.
