I went tonight for the first time this year because the tickets were given to me. I started watching UL in the late fletcher years and have always been spoiled with good basketball. Tonight although we won and played decent I still didn't come away from it dying to want to go back. I think what is killing the crowds is the type of play, we don't have the freakish athleticism that we used to have in the past. There were a few times were I was shaking my head wondering why Long didn't throw down a few thunder dunks I mean he had the opportunity at least 3 or 4 times.

If you didn't see the emotion those young men put onto the court then your missing out

Sad thing...when you have only 1,000 or so people at a once proud basketball program's game.

Your estimate is not even close. Granted at the start of the game it looked like a UNO crowd, but by the end a lot better, and probably around 2K. Not good, but way better than 1K.

If people like basketball then they need to come see EP play. This young man impresses me more every time I see him, and he truly scares the crap out of the other teams coaches. So long, so quick, and now hitting jumpers, 3 pointers, and yes free throws.
He is worth the price of admission alone.

He also plays more minutes than any player in the league, and usually covers the best shooter the other team has not playing the five, or four spot.

PS, looked it up actual count 1919, not a good thing to be sure.

Did ok for a guy carrying a piano, one rebound shy of a double double, involved in three floor scrambles of loose balls on the floor. People double him all night long. If it was not a piano it was surly a body bag.

Glad we won last night. And, yes, EP is great to watch and should be amazing by his senior year. And by the way, I've missed only one game since Marlin got here.

My comments were about where our program is...and how far it needs to come to even APPROACH some of the impressive years of the past. Having watched teams play since the Shipley days, to be in the dome at the end of the season...watching an under .500 team...struggling to make the conference tournament...with only 1,900 people in attendance was just a depressing moment for me.

We had better have D1 quality athletes coming in here the next two seasons and beyond...or last night will look good in comparison to what we will have in the stands at the end of THOSE seasons.

Yea 2K is not good for the Cajuns but not bad at all to the others besides the LSUers---Yea EP is starting to get that driving jump shot---Oh yea Long doesn't look too hot and almost another double double----I don't know how much of it is maturity or coaching but how much better is AMT, EP, Shepherd, and LaBamba???? If Moore were 3 inches taller and we had Colby or the guy that didn't come with questionable character I think that the Cajuns would be very tough!!! If SOTO can step up I think we can have some fun at the tourney!!! BTW it would be about time!!!
