The Ragin’ Cajuns women’s basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as Louisiana picked up its second straight win defeating Troy 63-59 in a Sun Belt Conference game Wednesday night at Earl K. Long Gym.

In the first part of the season, Ashley Benjamin established herself as a candidate to register a double-double on any given night largely because of her determination to do the dirty work in the post for the UL Ragin' Cajuns.

But after suffering an ankle injury that hampered her ability to play the game the way she is accustomed to, Benjamin, who tweaked her ankle a couple of times in the game, showed Troy just how dominant she can be.
