I think it is just fine to keep the terrible state of the basketball program in our thoughts, even in the offseason. Keep the pressure on.... Even if it won't matter because administration will do nothing and / or can do nothing. I have never seen a proud program from any university, at any level, fall so far so quickly and without some type of scandal. In any event, the fall of cajuns basketball is certainly worthy of discussion, even if it is not as fun to talk about as the Cajuns baseball / softball teams' chances of making the world series this year ;-)Originally Posted by Zeebart21

As I posted earlier... what a bizarre and useless thread!
Uhhhhh..........fourteen? Pickles? Navajo? I don't know what the answer is!
Unless you are Charles Tillman I would quit using his name and posting in such a negative short sighted manner. YOU ultimately may be correct that Lee gets canned, but to take what he had the firs year and do what he did was expected. To bring in all these guys that did not pan out the second year and caused trouble causing Lee to get rid of several and having only 4 returners from the prior year non of which were starters for his third year, with half the team Freshmen, RSF, Soph, and a couple of JC guys, LEE DID OK. He was in most of the games they lost, which means they could have gone either way.Originally Posted by TillmansNumber1
Now Lee does have the scholarship loss to deal with now, and this coming two years will be a huge test, one I think this team and the few extra guys he will bring in are ready for.
Be patient my cajun friend, be patient, post postitive.

I haven't seen one known, recognizable, ticket buying UL basketball supporter make a negative comment about Coach Lee.
What a joke. Arguably the worst performance in the history of the program and you honestly think that no hard core Cajuns supporter has had any bad things to say about Lee's direction of the program? All the excuses are so bs. Three years into a coaching era and the excuse is that players are too young, earlier recruits and strategy did not pan out, previous coach left cupboard bare. So much bs.....Originally Posted by DestinCajun
I hope very much that Lee turns things around, but you have to be honest about the performance the past two years and not be in denial. Thinking the basketball program is definitely in the right direction is about as absurd as sayinig the baseball team is not being run in an optimal way.
I honestly have no clue what you're saying. I don't think you know what you're saying either.Originally Posted by miamicajun32

I dissagree with you and it seems to me you are in denial about not only the basketball program's recent failures, but also the state of enthusiasm by other Cajuns' fans for the current performance of the team. You can dissagree with me if you want. But leave the personal attacks out please.
Perhaps to make things more clear for you, I should have just responded to your post with a "no" or "do not agree".
In my opinion, any statement that the basketball team is fine and that no true Cajuns' fan has any concern about Lee's direction of the program is about as absurd as any hypothetical statement that Robicheaux is doing a bad job running the baseball program.
The latter statement would of course never happen and should not happen, but the former statement (or similar ones) is made all the time on this board by fans in denial like you....
