Road in Loreauville is a huge problem
The Department of Transportation and Development tells us they do have an upcoming project to resurface l-a 86 from l-a 3242 to l-a 347. This five mile project is estimated to happen in 2014 and 2015. As far as l-a 86, west of Loreauville, the state says they're aware they need to overlay this road, and it will be considered as funding becomes available.
Residents in Loreaville feel this is a problem that is much more serious. "our homes, they all vibrate, the walls crack and then every now and then they have to be repainted or new wall-paper has to go up," says Hayden Ransonet. Ransonet's house is along Main Street in Loreaville, and he has had to learn to live with the problem. "My neighbor said, "'My mirrors are going to fall, so I told her to put a few extra screws in to hold them up."
