LOUISIANA La. - Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns men’s tennis team ended its regular season on a high note after defeating Texas-Arlington 4-3. The Cajuns ended
the season 12-7.
In doubles play, the Cajuns clinched the point after recording wins at Nos. 1 and 3. Pitorek Banas and Shaun Ellison defeated Daniel Omana and Gonzalo Bienzobas 8-2 at No. 1, while Dusan Tabak and Arlen Domoney downed Dmitry Minkin and Alberto Agis 8-5 at No. 3. No. 2 doubles did not finish.
In singles competition, the Cajuns captured three victories. Banas retired Diego Mattar in two sets at No. 1, winning 6-2, 6-4. Tabak defeated Omana 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 at No. 2. Ellison downed Agis 6-2, 6-4 at No. 3.
At No. 5, Jorge Delgado fell to Minkin 6-3, 7-5. The Cajuns chose to retire at positions 4 and 6.
