I'm gonna predict now that they will make the series this year.. Something like this can bring a team closer together than ever... Actually, I think it might be part of the master plan Now they really have something to prove!!!!!...

I agree with Mike, this about the best time for a move like what just occurred.
A week ago might have been better, but this is good timing.
If you are who you say you are, all I have to say is this. The Master Plan regardless of what the outcome of it is, has allowed UL Softball to play in one of the finest facilities in the country. I believe that it is easily a top 20 ball park and everything associated with the program has been top notch. We will be fine no matter what happens after today Yvette, Mike & yourself have built a program that can withstand such turmoil. We will be fine.
Now, for all of the hard work and dedication that your predecessor and y'all have put into the program I can easily understand why both former staffs would feel under appreciated and under paid. Farmer was wrong here, as was Mike, but this can be resolved and should be done quickly.
Jealousy between programs is like the forbidden fruit, it is poison that will destroy you from the inside. Some sports are treated with more favor and paid that way as well. It will always be that way, is it fair? No, but it is what it is.
I would think Mike has spoken to the girls and they're all on the same page. MIKE IS GOING TO COACH.... Just with a different title. That's how Im taking this whole ordeal. This team is gonna be real good, this I know. Im excited about tomorrow, this I know. and This team will show up prepared with a top knotch under paid coaching staff, this I know.
I know he's a lawyer, but he made a compelling case for this being the right time. And Stevie didn't ask him, for the record. he brought it up. When's the best time? In the middle of recruiting? Fall ball? Fundraising time? When the freshmen are just getting here? This is the perfect time. Nothing left but the softball.
Like I said, if you have kids and perspective, you understand this. If you lack one of those, maybe you don't. If you have kids and no perspective, I feel sorry for you. One day, your kids will be grown and you'll wonder what the hell happened. You missed it all.
But Mike won't be one of those people. Do you love your job more than your kids?
Because he is a bad AD. He is not who we need leading the athletic department of this university, he is too comfortable with the status quot and would like to see us associated with small time programs.
We need a progressive leader in the athletic department, until we have that we will continue to be one step behind like we have been for the past 40 years.
You know I have spent many days and weeks away from my family to make sure that they are provided for. It isn't just coaches who are asked to sacrifice their family life for their job. There is probably many layers as to what happened today and we may have to wait a long time for the truth to come out but I think spending more time with family is just one of the layers. Like Donkey says life is an onion.
Waiting for your kernels of insight and wisdom
