I am totally confused. We now have a head coach who played last year and a volunteer coach who was the head coach who decides on the day before the season that he can't be away from the wife and kids. HUH!!!!!!! I think I need a beer.
I need some scotch from Z.
I agree with you, but the reason is that most people don't know about what Yvette went through and what she put up with when she was here and after she left. A real leader just absorbs it. I was listening to the Jay Walker program and Jay said that Yvette personally told him that she did some dumb things when she left. She's human.
Coach Lotief likewise made a big mistake, which in my estimation is bigger than any mistake Yvette made.
Stevie P said Lotief will stay associated with the team but not as the head coach, will travel tomorrow. But come on, Mike, it's about the players you recruited. Now get T-Joe on the horn and tell him that you will be officially the coach.
So we lost our head softball coach? No biggie! I thought it was Hud found a new gig.
I want to apologize to Jay for my comments in this thread, as I have found out more info about the situation and he is mostly correct.
As far as the move of Mike Lotief to resign right before the season, IMO is still a _____ move. If it is a situation where there is bad blood or jealousy within the athletic department then something or someone has to be the bigger man and work for a compromise. This was not done and both culprits held firm on their position and it really hurt this program today.
We need new blood in the AD's office, someone who is much more aggressive at getting the Ragin Cajuns program as a "WHOLE!" moving forward. Farmer has not done that and it has cost us dearly.
