I'd hate the thought of a season with a lame duck coach either if it's Lotief "doing the right thing" or Yvette coming in.

Regardless of what happened behind the scenes, if Mike Lotief leaves his team in the lurch the day before the season starts, this should put an end to Yvette Girouard bashing. If Lotief does return, he still hurt the program because recruits might become leary of him.

Of course, if Lotief left because of family or health reasons, that's another matter.

Guys I hope this is not true, but if it does come to pass, I do not see many alternatives for an interim coach. If Girourd would even take the gig it would probably be the best alternative available on the eve of a new season. It would suck, but at this stage it would probably be her or some high school or JC coach.

Nothing good result can come of this if it is indeed true.
