Why don't all you recruiting gurus trust the recruiting guru mark hudspeth.
All I know is that I got drunk at the recruiting bash so I think Hud did a great job.
The school just had its best ever recruiting class in any sport at any time in the history of the school (a possible bb class or two maybe)....must be the same group that always screams for a local whenever a coaching opening takes place. Like having some all-district db from Acadiana is the main reason a few thousand will attend a game or get interested in the program. Granted, if there were more 3 and 4 star guys in the area on a consistant basis, you could maybe make an arguement for more local talent. On a consistant basis, that's not the case. Look at the class Kentucky signed, I think there are 2 guys on it from Kentucky. What gets me is that every year (3 this year) guys from the area that signed LOI's with other schools (one time UL targets) now transfer in. That just kills me, the school wasn't good enough the first time around? Family issues aside, the program will reach a point soon where ( you saw some of this just this week) if you're not all in then don't let that big red door hit you on the way out. its a one and done thing....you get one chance to say yes....which is a great position for the program to be in.
The best recruiting class in the history of collegiate recruiting "anywhere" was UL 1943.
