We need Troy and UALR to win these games, correct??

    Yes.

Troy took a bases loaded 3-2 pitch and grounded into a DP (out at home and first), failing to plate the first run of the game. Then with two outs and runners on first and second, nine hole hitter Beau Brooks (he was the nine hole last season) hit a long single that scored two. Troy leads CC 2-0 after two innings.

Middle Tennessee has the bases loaded in the top of the 3rd with one out and UALR leading 5-1.

  4. UL Baseball Re: Sun Belt today ...

Middle has taken the lead over UALR 6-5 in the top of the 6th.

Troy still leads Coastal Carolina 2-0 in the bottom of the 5th.

Troy rallied for three runs in the bottom of the 9th to upend Coastal Carolina 7-6 and take the series. Coastal Carolina took a 6-4 lead in the 8th after a 2-run HR off of closer Josh Dew. This will be a nice RPI boost for Troy as CC had an Adjusted RPI of 10.

Arkansas-Little Rock tried to rally from three down in the ninth. UALR was trailing 8-5 when Robert Taylor led off the inning with a solo shot. UALR then had runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out (after a double) when Brad Swiderski singled. One run scored, but the tying run was held at third base. With runners on the corners and one out, Daniel Guffey was caught stealing second base. Jordan Alvis then struck out Tyler Mason to end the game. Middle Tennessee wins 8-7 and takes the series.

Good recap of the MT game.

We won by the hairs on our chins today, like we have all year.

Matt Scott has lost 4 straight Fridays, but MT has won 2 out of 3 in each one.

    Very, very strange.

Matt was supposed to be our Bell Cow this year.

I reckon' it's good for the rest of the league he is not.

On a positive note, our younger pitchers and relievers have stepped it up, and injuries to our starting centerfielder and catcher do not seem to be hurting us too much defensively or offensively.

"Pete" Peterson may be doing his best coaching job ever this year.

We will have to sweep at least once to catch the Cajuns, IMO.

Good luck, folks, from the BlueRaiderZone!!

Middle Tennessee continues to get it done. It looks like they will be there at the end. I just wish they could win more during the week.

We are starting to wn more than we lose midweek, but you are right-- early in the year we were gawd awful

We have gotten creamed by Vandy, and Memphis twice.

We still have 2 more to geaux with Vandy and that should at least help our RPI, esp. is we can salvage a win.

We lost a series early in the year to Bowling Green, of all teams. Yuck!
