    "All 12 of them have a chance to get to the big leagues this year," he said.

    Pitching coach Xavier Hernandez will help Montoyo run the club along with hitting coach Gary Gaetti.

    "The talent is there, but we've got a young staff," said Hernandez, who directed a staff with 19 shutouts at Montgomery last season. "Sometimes when you've got prospects, they really show what they have after nine or 10 starts.

    "And we're going to start off with closer-by-committee. [Scott] Dohmann [Chad] Orvella, [Jeff] Ridgway, maybe [Seth] McClung are going to get a chance at it."

    Hernandez said this season's pitching staff should be confident in the defense.
