Thread: Baseball Season Ticket Question...

  1. #1

    Default Baseball Season Ticket Question...

My question is regarding the Sun Belt Tourny which will be held at the Tigue. Anyone remember last time or know what will be the case this year for season ticket holders come tourny time? Will we get a discounted ticket package? Or first choice of Tickets for the tourny? Or will we be just lumped into the public with all other Sun Belt schools' fans for tickets?

Just curious. Glad to finally become a season ticket holder... looking forward to it. This is my first year as a season ticket holder. (2 years removed from attending for free as a student).

You will get an opportunity to purchase before the geeral public. Whether you will keep your same seat is a question as thye have to accomidate fans of other schools.

I heard Fan Day was cancelled due to Mardi Gras this year.

Any word on when the players will be offering the season ticket packages? Each player usually has to sell a certain number.

This is how it has always been. You get your seats if wanted. If they push the RCAF into a VIP status you will have a ____ed off 23 year season ticket holder.

I wouldn't bet on it only being based on season tickets. I have to believe that somewhere down the line all post season ticketing will have the RCAF in the mix, whether by direct donation or some type of point system.

Right, but I think what Frenchie is getting at, is that if you ONLY allow RCAF members those benefits then you are doing a disservice to your season ticket holders that for whatever reason are not RCAF. It should be a combination of both.

    For instance...

If you are a Baseball Season ticket holder + you are an RCAF member = You get TOP Priority
If you are a Baseball Season Ticket Holder alone = You get SECOND Priority
If you are an RCAF member alone, and no season tickets = You get THIRD Priority
Everyone else falls in line after this....

This makes sense to me. I don't see why RCAF members should get Priority over current Baseball Season Ticket Holders if for all we know they have never attended a game all season and just want to jump on the ship when times are good... If we let them jump on BEFORE the general public, that's all fine and dandy... but you have to treat your Season Ticket holders with a level of respect as well.

That's just the way I see it... anyone else agree?

I know it was covered on another thread, but here's my guess work. The reason I think RCAF took priority earlier is that it's a donation without any "cost" associated with it. When you buy season tickets, the university does have a guaranteed operating budget, but it does have costs of doing business associated with it to provide stadium/lights/workers etc. What that cost may actually be, I don't know. I'm sure there are sports that work on a deficit. As I said, just guesswork.
