Thread: Baer in the ALL-STAR FOOTBALL CHALLENGE

  1. UL Football Re: Baer in the ALL-STAR FOOTBALL CHALLENGE

No Boomer, the NFL would be an awful lot like college, they kick from the thirty five, and I have seen lots of kickoffs run back this season, just not for some teams like the Saints, and by the way they use the punter for kick offs because their head case kicker cannot come close to getting it into the end zone ever.

Baer can get it into the endzone about 30% of the time. The big leg is for field goals over forty five yards, and I have seen plenty of guys who cannot kick them in the NFL from anywhere. Yes the premier kickers can, but there are at least a dozen teams that it is a crap shoot anywhere past the forty.

You miss the point----They run kicks out of the end zone like the 108 yarder in the Super Bowl and a guy that is only 30% just can't cut it-----it is a no brainer---Hopefully he can increase his distance with more resistance training cause God knows I will be pulling for him---but I say the name and he asked the question--his first question I might add!!! BTW his son is the Special teams staff with the 49ers and he has 17 years in the NFL!!!

The guy who was introducing him before he kicked said something like, 'he's an animal on kickoffs, he's not afraid to tackle'... pretty sure he had him mixed up with Stover.... lol.. Brett is an 'animal'....

Many teams have their punter kick off for this exact reason. So clearly not being able to kick it through the end zone is not fatal to your chances as a pro.

But, I'm sure a PK is less valuable if he cannot.
