Struggled pretty badly in the speed kick challenge. Is going to finish last after this last guy goes.

That all star competition was idiotic! A speed drill for kickers? I would have put the ball at different locations and put a tall object in front of them to simulate a defensive player's jump. Good try Baer!

Haha I thought the same thing.

I was hoping for something were they would kick about 4 from 35-50 then a Longest leg kick.

HUD said he was the worst practice kicker he had ever seen, but when it matters he nails them

i talked to Baer friday night. he said he didnt do as good as he could have, but he said they had a lot of fun. he said he will most likely sign FA for a team and work his butt off to get a deal with a team. I think he could find him a spot on any roster.

I'll take Brett Baer with the game on the line anytime. I'm going to miss him. Who could ever forget that smile after the NO Bowl game winner. On side kicks, feildgoals, punts, kickoffs, he never let us down. The guy is a winner. If the NFL can't see that then shame on them.

Things the NFL scouts look at and things they do not look at.

A: Is the leg strong enough? Answer yes.
B: Is the kicker accurate? Answer absolutely the best.
C: Is the kicker ice when everything is on the line? You know he is.
D: Can he do other things? Answer incredible on side kicker for those most important moments.

Not at all important:

How somebody does in a contest meaning absolutely nothing? No weight.

When an NFL coach asked me about question #1 concerning KOs---I unfortunately had to answer NO---Basically all his KOs would have been returned this year in the pros----That is not what they are looking for----all the others were certainly yes!!!
