Baker defensive end Jeremy Cook registered 108 tackles last season, including 22 behind the line.
For the past two months, the mind of Baker High’s Jeremy Cook has swung like a pendulum.
During that time Cook, a standout defensive end, has mulled the possibility of signing with a junior college or attending a Division I school where he could have to potentially sit out a season in hopes of becoming a full academic qualifier.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Cook found some resolution this week and plans to sign Thursday with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
“That’s the thing I’ve been thinking about the most: to go to a junior college for a year or two, or just go to a university. Either way I look at it, if you’re good enough to make it, you do what you have to do.”
Cook enjoyed a solid career at Baker, leading the Buffaloes to consecutive Class 3A state playoff appearances.
