Thanks Coach Hall. Everyone appreciates the job you have done and knows you will do well in the future.

I echo your sentiments. The Halls brought the program here from dead to pretty darn good. I wish them all the success in the world at Cincy. Now, I just hope that the admin puts enough emphasis on the program to try to make a quality hire as their replacement.Originally Posted by Zeebart21
don't think i don't agree with you, or that i was being critical of them. I would probably do the same thing and was just trying to make light of the subject because its such a sad day. Like i said, you have to do what's right by your family, and they made that decision. While we may think it was the wrong one, with respect to us, they did what's best for them. Besides, if we couldn't keep them, i hope cincy doesn't think they will either. They may be Big East, but the Hall's will be successful there and will probably have the option to upgrade again soon.Originally Posted by Zeebart21
It is a sad day...I am glad we had the Halls and I thank them greatly for what they did for the program. They have to do whats right for them and their family so with that I wish them the best. I will be pulling for Cincinnati now :-)
On a side note how great is it for one of our coachs to leave for a better offer instead of being forced out?
It won't be as hard to find a coach this time as it was when the Halls first came guys because this time the program is there and the cupboard is not bare.

Think about our Football program and how it could be considered a graveyard for Head Coaches. No matter how much it stings seeing the University lose great coaches like Kelly and Meredeth. I will forever respect them for what they gave us.
Our program's future is brighter now than before they came here.
I just hope that the University finds another hungry coach that can continue what the Hall's started.

I'm going back to bed. That's a wrap on today. Can the day get any worse? Maybe the 'Stros can lose all 3 games of their opening series woo hoo. Wake me up when there is some good news. P.S. Happy for the Hall's (of course).
Youre kidding, right? Seek profesional help.Originally Posted by ULforlife

I had a feeling that it was a double-edged sword when the team made it to the NCAA tournament. It's the nature of the business that coaches are always looking for the next step. I just wish they could be more honest about this. Getting more financial security for your family is admirable. I just never bought all of the talk about loving Lafayette and not wanting to leave - its just the leverage coaches use for new contracts or better jobs. Having said this, it's been a great run with a great foundation set for the next coach. Thanks, Coach Hall, for that.
THIS SUCKS!
