It looks to me like the season is starting to catch up to them. This is down to a 9 woman roster that essentially uses 7 players, and they are beginning to look mentally as well as physically fatigued. Troy & Monroe look to be the on the lower level with the Cajuns in the Belt this season and I think the game this Saturday at Troy will go a long way to determining if they can win another conference game this season. I believe they have the heart to do well, but, like I said, I think fatigue is doing them in, and now, a lack of offensive firepower is preventing them from scoring enough points to hang with the better teams in the league.
I find they burn to much of the shot clock passing up shots then taking bad shots. I think only 1 shot clock violation last night, but still burning a lot of the clock.
As I said after about 2 games...
There is a chance they will be able to compete in the Sun Belt in a couple of years, especially since Middle is leaving. We still need a couple of tall/long girls who can rebound, score and defend the paint to be good. We do work hard and hustle, so we won't lose games for lack of effort.
