Leesville accountant pleads guilty in tax probe

LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) - A Leesville accountant has pleaded guilty to failing to pay the proper amount of payroll taxes that his former employer owed the federal government.

Sixty-year-old Larry Wayne Bruce faces a maximum sentence of six years in prison following his guilty plea Tuesday to two counts of failure to pay taxes.

Federal prosecutors say Bruce, who served as a financial officer at Express Marketing Incorporated from 2003 to 2007, also pleaded guilty to failing to pay his personal taxes from 2005 until he left the company.
